| Almond Cake ½ cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. pure almond extract 1 cup flour 1 egg beaten ¼ cup slivered almonds, toasted Cream butter and sugar; add extract; add flour; press into a greased 8” or 9” cake pan. Sprinkle with almonds and 1 tsp sugar. Bake at 375°for 20 (or so) minutes (don’t overcook, the top shouldn’t be brown) |
